The Internet is My Religion isn’t a conventional book by a tech CEO. You won’t find Top 10 Leadership Principles, a new Framework for Movement Building, or even the Ten Commandments of the Internet. What you will find is Jim Gilliam’s unfiltered story -- who he is, what he’s meant to create, and how deeply held beliefs change. It’s all there. Nothing was taken out because it was too personal or too embarrassing. You will laugh, you may cry, and you will definitely cringe.

This book was an interesting journey, a personal story that parallels my own life – minus the struggle with cancer, the lung transplant, and a few other details. But, Jim’s revelations about how the universe and the people of our world come together struck a deep chord with me. I read this little book in one sitting, this evening. It’s worth everyone’s time and trouble to read, to be inspired and to see how simply being human in the internet age (are we to Web 4.0 yet?) is one of the most interesting times to be alive.

A story to find yourself in. I developed a similar concept coming not from a religious but a scientific direction. You helped me tie everything together, so thank you! Feels awesome to not be alone :)

I can’t remember when the last time I was compelled to read a book in one sitting. Only pausing from the book for a moment to tell my son that’s away at college, I love him, and nothing should stand in the way of his dreams. Feeling enormous fullness and appreciation for my family and friends. Jim’s words reinforced my faith in humanity, kindness of strangers and grace of God. Beautifully written and thought-provoking.

What an incredible story, thank you for sharing it. This is a very inspirational book that I would highly recommend. It’s very well written. I don’t see how anyone could read it without a tear in their eye.

Grab some Kleenex and read this book! You’ll be glad you did.

I read the book in one sitting; it was so well written. It brought a tear to my eye in parts. Reading this booking will always stay with me, it’s life affirming in so many ways. Jim, you’re an amazing guy.

Such an amazing an inspirational story. Already has the wheels turning….anyone can be a creator if you just take the leap and have some faith to create something amazing. What will I create? We all have ideas yet too few of us take that first step. Thanks Jim, for showing us how to remove the obstacles and excuses that often hold us back. This book is a true gift.
